Hello again, readers and skimmers and followers of curiosity alike! Sorry that we’ve been non-posting this last month or so – our lives were dominated by dragons. And Nords. And awesome visual effects that astounded us silly. Yes, I’m talking about TES5: Skyrim. Since it came out on 11/11/11, the two master trainers-in-training have been slaying dragons and absorbing their power, for there can be only one… dovahkiin. Speaking of Skyrim, though, whether it’s for the PC, PS3 or the 360, if you haven’t bought it yet, it’s well worth the $60 you sink into it, just because Elder Scrolls games are always every kind of amazing, and possibly some theoretical measure beyond “every”. Just hold off on getting it for about a week or so, until the latest glitch gets corrected and we can be on our merry way again.
As for Pokemon news, there is good and bad on that front. The good news is that Nateal and I are in the process of breeding some more shiny-squeaky-new Pokemon, hers being a secretive team of evildoers and mine being the charming yet uncannily clumsy henchmen. Not really. But! We do have new Pokemon in the works for sure, I promise you that. Nateal actually bred the team to fight one of my own on even footing, which is a fairly impressive goal (there is in no way any chance I might be stroking my ego. None whatsoever. I’m being quite sincere about that). My new Pokemon are mostly designed around defense. It’s an area that I’m sadly lacking in, with the exception of my Milotic and Tyranitar, and I LOVE. THIS. MILOTIC. Tyranitar’s good, too, but I still need to get a team working that can use him. Her. I guess I can’t remember at the moment.
Said bad news is that we’ve been out of commission for a while with Skyrim, as mentioned above and in the title. It’s shown to an extent from my last League meeting. But, as a fortune cookie once told me, “don’t ever mistake your first defeat for your final defeat”. We’re also working hard to get ourselves back up to our usual battle prowess again, which might subsequently take a hit when the patch to fix Skyrim comes out later this upcoming week for PS3 (Nateal) and 360 (myself). Seriously, that game is TOO good. Anyway, I’ll probably be throwing up a post on Garchomp later this weekend once I’ve had more fun with it in the Battle Subway, and I’ll be working on some new Pokemon for posts in the future. Gotta train’em all!
